Supralunar to Release New Single "Picture In Your Head" on August 8th

OUT SOON

Artist/Band: Supralunar
Release Title: Picture In Your Head
Release Date: August 8, 2025
Label: Self-released
Format: Digital
Genre: Hard Rock
Country: Sweden

On August 8th, Stockholm-based Supralunar will release their second single, "Picture In Your Head", from the upcoming full-length album Dead Come To Dance. Following December’s well-received “Bit By The Bug,” the new track leans into a melodic, upbeat vibe with thoughtful lyrics and richly layered production.

The song explores the theme of personal growth through empathy – the ability to view the world from someone else’s perspective. Lead singer and guitarist Petri Tuulik shares:

“When writing this song, I got a strong Def Leppard vibe – not because I was aiming for it, but something in the rhythm and melody triggered that feeling. The final result is, of course, not nearly as slick or polished as Def Leppard, but that initial vibe sparked a desire to add more ear candy and subtle layering. That mindset influenced the entire album’s production.”

Drums on the track are performed by the band’s former drummer, Johann Enoksson, who parted ways with the band during the recording process. New drummer Akane Delle Fave plays on a couple of other tracks on Dead Come To Dance and will be behind the kit for future live performances.

A DIY-style video for the song will premiere on the same day as the single release. One week later, Supralunar will perform it live for the first time on the Rock Stage at the Malmö Festival, followed by a show at Kulturnatten in Uppsala in September.

“Bit By The Bug” – the first single from the new album got airplay in England and was also played on Power Today Radio, a major Japanese rock station, alongside artists like Metallica, Bon Jovi, and The Hellacopters.

The new single follows the 2022 Lost & Found EP series, which featured newly recorded versions of previously unreleased songs – tracks the band felt were too good to leave behind, but not quite in line with the direction of the new album. Dead Come To Dance will be Supralunar’s first full-length release since 2018’s Ghosts, and showcases a broader range than ever – spanning from Van Halen-esque playfulness to full-blown heavy metal.

Supralunar has been described as “The Darkness goes Beatles” and “Foo Fighters meets Sweet,” blending classic rock swagger with melodic depth and modern production. The band has previously performed at Sweden Rock Festival, Skogsröjet, and opened for British rock legends The Quireboys.

"Picture In Your Head" will be available on all major streaming platforms starting August 8th.
