You are in for the furious thrashing of a lifetime, kids! What is frowned upon for good reasons in education these days, remains a great prospect for headbangers and metalheads of all ages. And SPACE CHASER deliver big time with their fourth studio album "Razorblade Bay".
"Razorblade Bay" comes with everything that the discerning thrash metal gentleman might wish to hear these days: classic thrash riffing with a particular German leaning, and distant echoes of KREATOR, SODOM, and DESTRUCTION are always appreciated, yet there is also a dash of punk-ish energy and spirit as well as some speed metal bravado in their bespoke sonic garment. In short: in your face!
At this point, it shall be duly noted that this galactic battleship is co-piloted in the producer's seat by none other than Andy Brings of SODOM-fame.
SPACE CHASER add their own musical embroidery and their distinct lyrical stitching brings science fiction stories to life. Of course, not the boring technical stuff but rather the exciting horror aspects of the genre. Prepare to be devoured by giant space worms.
SPACE CHASER came into being as a four-piece thrash metal band in 2011. Founded and based in Germany's nominal capital Berlin, they would be entitled to proudly indulge in reminiscing more than 10 successful years of continuous growth. Yet SPACE CHASER rather choose to look forward to even greater things to come.
The modern thrashers' first two albums, "Watch the Skies!" (2014) and "Dead Sun Rising" (2016), quickly established SPACE CHASER both as highly praised recording artists as well as a force to be reckoned with live on stage.
With their last full-length "Give Us Life" (2021), the band took a big step at home as well as abroad. This record climbed up to position #24 of the German album charts. SPACE CHASER were also invited and performed at major festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Summer Breeze, and Party.San among others next summer, which was followed by two club tours through Germany and the Benelux.
Even the decision of frontman Siegfried Rudzynski to leave the band for personal reasons in 2023 could not hold SPACE CHASER back for long. Guitarist Leo Schacht simply added the role of lead vocalist to his tasks.
The reformed line-up presented the new single "Ignite the Skies" (2025) as a first taste of things to come and was met with overwhelmingly positive reactions by the fans and a celebrated return to Europe's major metal festival stages the same year.
SPACE CHASER are more than ready to jump into hyperspace with their new thrashing engine made by "Razorblade Bay" Inc. on Planet Berlin! Fasten your belt buckles and hold on tight for a furious ride into a headbanging frenzy!
