Finnish female fronted melodic death metal band Admire the Grim to release debut album in 2025 - first single Crescent Moon out now!
Finnish melodic death metallers Admire the Grim will release their debut album ‘Resist’ via Inverse Records on January 31st 2025.

‘Crescent Moon’ was one of the first songs that we wrote for the album. We had a chance to play this song live on many gigs before the actual album recording in the summer of 2024. That way we got to test it out in advance and it was recorded just the way that we’ve been playing it live. While the song was still in its demo phase, it was clear that this song is going to be a single. It has a murderous intro that turns into straight up screaming - which means business. We wrote a lot of catchy hooks and melodies, but managed to keep the song heavy. ‘Crescent Moon’s lyrics are a metaphor for change and accepting change.”

« Crescent Moon » a été l’une des premières chansons que nous avons écrites pour l’album. Nous avons eu l’occasion de jouer cette chanson en live lors de nombreux concerts avant l’enregistrement de l’album à l’été 2024. De cette façon, nous avons pu la tester à l’avance et elle a été enregistrée exactement comme nous l’avons jouée en live. Alors que la chanson était encore en phase de démo, il était clair que cette chanson allait être un single. Elle a une intro meurtrière qui se transforme en cris purs et durs, ce qui signifie que nous sommes sérieux. Nous avons écrit beaucoup de refrains et de mélodies accrocheurs, mais nous avons réussi à garder la chanson lourde. « Les paroles de Crescent Moon sont une métaphore du changement et de l’acceptation du changement. »
BIOGRAPHY:
Finnish melodic death metallers Admire the Grim will release their debut album ‘Resist’ via Inverse Records in January 2025. The album, which was crafted for two years, consists of familiar Admire the Grim tunes and acoustic surprises. Antti ‘Hyrde’ Hyyrynen of Stam1na visits as a guest vocalist on the single ‘Resist’. Album debut gig will be held at the legendary Nuijamies venue in the band’s hometown of Lappeenranta, Finland. Afterwards Admire the Grim is heading for gigs around Finland.
Admire the Grim was formed in 2021. The band released its’ well received ‘Rogue Five’ debut EP via Inverse Records in 2022. After the release the band followed up with a Finnish tour and their first gig abroad at Bloodstained Metal Fest in Estonia.
Les membres du groupe finlandais de death metal mélodique Admire the Grim sortiront leur premier album « Resist » via Inverse Records en janvier 2025. L'album, qui a été élaboré pendant deux ans, se compose de morceaux familiers d'Admire the Grim et de surprises acoustiques. Antti « Hyrde » Hyyrynen de Stam1na sera présent en tant que chanteur invité sur le single « Resist ». Le premier concert de l'album aura lieu dans la légendaire salle Nuijamies, dans la ville natale du groupe, Lappeenranta, en Finlande.
